Approach 

My approach to healing on through to transcendence begins with compassion. I strive to provide a psychospiritual well-grounded environment that is respectful, caring and nonjudgmental. I also profoundly believe in your ability to heal and transform.  Through our work together you can become more present to yourself and to life in general. While working as a psychotherapist I was and still am aligned with the teachings of Carl Rogers who is known to be client (or person) centered. It is his belief and mine that meaningful change comes from deep within. It is not something that can be imposed by me as a healing ally, nor are you expected to do it alone. It is through mutual participation that we can explore whatever is important to you. Compassionate, focused listening allows you to be heard not only by me, but also by you about you. By offering awareness and growth tools, it helps reveal your true or authentic self, so you can better understand and address whatever issues are unclear or even hidden. This approach helps prepare you to face challenges life sometimes bestows as well as savor joys and quiet moments more deeply.

Recommended Number of Sessions
The recommended number of visits you may need or want can depend on whether you have specific short-term intentions (3 - 10 visits) or want to explore your life more deeply. Talk with me to learn more. The exploration of either specific short-term intentions or deeper work are both valuable ways to improve the quality of your life.

Healing Interventions
The healing interventions I use to help, are drawn holistically from a variety of sources, including some esoteric ancient wisdom/spiritual teachings.  These can include, but are not limited to the following:
  1. Psychology vs Spiritual Based Healing: While there is an undeniable overlap between psychology and spiritually based healing, psychology attempts to fix things like depression or anxiety. My approach as a spiritually aligned healing ally considers disorders to be biochemical sirens, worthy of appreciation because they alert us to the fact there is an imbalance within that is the actual cause of distress. After helping find ways to alleviate the overt symptoms, my focus centers on what lies beneath. As this becomes clear, distress tends to lessen significantly. I am happy to explain further. 
  2. Awareness (Mindfulness): Awareness is a coherence or partnering between our thoughts and feelings working together. The mind considers the past to make sense of something being considered historically, now or in the future. Feelings are uncensored honesty at any given moment free of filters. When these two aspects of being human partner and function by way of coherence in a unified manner, you not only gain cognitive clarity; you also learn to activate and trust your feelings and ultimately your intuition. Determining ways forward especially in these broken times is requiring us to do more than think. We are being asked to utilize discernment, often based on nebulous prompts in these uncertain times. 
  3. Active Listening: Hearing and understanding you as a unique and important person is a vital part of the healing process.
  4. Integration: Recognizing and then becoming skilled by way of awareness, at understanding the underlying causes of pent-up anger, frustration and pain it frees valuable life Energy that can be used to enhance the quality of your life. You come to understand the deeper meaning prompting the distress, which helps it calm down and puts you back in charge of your life, instead of being led by a harsh wounded voice. This is an expansive topic I can explain in much greater detail directly with you
  5. Meditation: Meditation helps you to ground by cleansing distressing thoughts and feelings that are interfering in the daily actives of your life. Those aspects once revealed can then become much less charged and instead of being buried are no longer as painful or burdensome.
  6. Life Energy: Your life Energy is part of the greater Life Energy that connects and is part of everything. Once your thoughts and feelings become more harmoniously aligned, inner strength and equanimity are significantly enhanced. The quality of your life can then greatly improve as your life Energy flows more harmoniously with divine or cosmic Life Energy. This is a highly complex and nuanced topic we can explore together
​Termination and Long-Term Options
When you are ready to terminate meeting or need to take a break, you are welcome to do so. I am open to discussing this at any time during our work together. Please note that my door remains open for those who wish to return, regardless of whether it is after a short while or an extended time away. This can mean a one-time check-in or pursuing deeper work. These are decisions made by you knowing I will listen and coordinate as needed or wanted.
